Chieftains Defeat the Dragons on Senior Night

On February 2, the Lady Chiefs received the win against the Pisgah Dragons. The final score was 55 to 45. The Lady Chiefs came to win for the parents who showed up for senior night.

Makayla Minett started the game off with the leap jump. The game improved from the good leap she handed off to the Lady Chiefs. At the end of the 1st quarter it was a very close game.

According to Damontaye Turnage, a basketball player at Pelahatchie High School, “I know that the girls are going to come out and show what they really came on the court to do.” As the third quarter was coming to an end the Lady Chiefs stayed in the lead for the win.

Starting the fourth quarter, the Lady Chiefs congratulated themselves with the win they got facing the Lady Dragons. The game ended with the Chiefs in the lead by 10 points. 

After the game was over and the Chiefs were about to take the court, there were special events where the seniors family came on the court to show how proud they are of them. 

After everyone was announced and everyone received a gift from the coaches, the game began.
