Could you imagine becoming the host of an alien symbiote? A symbiote has a liquid-like form and is demanded to bond with something (usually human) in order to survive.

I went and saw the movie Venom in theaters on October 12, seven days after it was released, and I  really liked it. I’m not that big on Marvel movies, but Venom is my favorite so far. It was very thrilling, funny and action filled, which I loved.

The story was very well-written and had a good plot that was easily understood. The symbiote named Venom bonds with journalist Eddie Brock leaving him with superhuman strength and incredible power.

I was on the edge of my seat for the majority of the movie. The visual and special effects were applied very well. Throughout the movie there were bits of humor thrown in there, and that’s what made it good. The main character Venom/Eddie Brock was hilarious. I really liked the humorous relationship between the two. My favorite part was when Venom would get mad at Eddie for calling him a parasite. I laughed and joked about that even after the movie was over.

The critics on Rotten Tomatoes rated it 4.5/10. Most of the critics thought the movie was really bad and a mess. The top critic Richard Roeper, said that the movie was “a tone-deaf, uneven and maddeningly dumb clunker that never settles on an identity, all the way to the closing credits”. I highly disagree with him because i thought the movie was amazing and was very understandable. You knew the goal from the beginning and there was a plot twist about Venom turning good in the end.  I do not really understand the critics bad reviews on this movie.Venom has became my favorite superhero out of them all because of how hilarious he is.

I loved every minute of this movie, and I completely recommend it. I hope they come out with a second one; I want more!
