On March 27 the FFA team at our school went to Participate at a competition.

The competition was held at East Central High School.

At these events the FFA team competes in different events that evolve plants, animals, and speaking.  Creed speaking, public speaking, floriculture, cattle judging, and tool ID are the main events the school competes in.

The FFA team has junior and senior teams, junior being for younger students and senior for older students.

At this competition at East Central the PHS FFA earned the opportunity to advance to state.

These are the events and placements: Jr creed speaking 1st, Jr Tool ID 1st, Sr Tool ID 2nd, Jr opening and closing 2nd, Sr opening and closing 2nd, and prepared public speaking 3rd.

Some of the students who placed were junior Anna Grace Carter and 8th grader Maddie Grace Walters. When Maddie Walters was asked about her thoughts on how they have been doing she said, “This year we have branched out a lot in competitions. We’re still learning and getting the hang of some, but overall we have more members and I think we will continue to do good.”

The FFA have accomplished much this year and made it far, and they hope to continue to do well. Be sure to show them support, GO CHIEFS!
