Hit and Run; Pelahatchie Softball is Going Strong!

Recently Pelahatchie fast pitch softball has had games constantly throughout the month of March. The softball girls record is 2-13, and they have 5 more games left including tournaments.

Even though their record doesn’t show their hard work, the girls work every fourth block and after school. The players have usually had games every week day except Wednesday. Marie Valentine, a 9th grade softball player stated, “I feel like all of us have grown so much stronger, and even though we have had our losses, we have grown not just as a team but as a family as well.”

The starters are Victoria Thorton, Scarlet Castillo, Isabella Rust, Kimberly Cochran, Madelyn Cain, Ivy Allen, Brooklyn Ferguson, Brianna Galbraith, and Mckinley Goodin. All these girls are coached by Coach Tucker, Coach Chambliss, Coach Goodin, and Coach Goss.

Many softball players aren’t ready for this season to come to an end. For instance, Madleyn Cain, a 9th grade player stated, “I hate that the season has come to an end so soon I will definitely be missing being out on the field as a team! We will be putting in work for next season.”

It’s never too late to come out and support the softball girls. The next game will be a tournament on April 6 at Richland @9:00 a.m.
