The Baseball Season of 2019

The 2018-2019 Pelahatchie baseball season has now come to an end, but that doesn’t mean that the memorable memories will fade away. Many memories include having a new coach at the beginning on the year, the returning players, and new players the team came together as one and played the game the enjoyed.

The team faced some adversity this year but did not let thest defeat their love for baseball. The Pelahatchie High School baseball team fell short  with a 2-20 record of the 2018-2019 season.

The team had the support of friends, family, and the community each and every game. For the last game of the season which is senior night, the diamond girls, and staff gave the team a breakfast in honor of how proud they are of the boys and everything they have done this year.

The players also received goodies afterwards. Senior baseball player Zay Taylor stated, “This year was definitely one for the books. I’ve shared some of the best moments and games with these guys and hate that I won’t be able to play with them next year. We’ve all bonding in so many ways and became brothers. I wish the baseball team nothing but the best and hope they have a good season next year. I’ll for sure come back and watch my boys play.”

This season was definitely an eye opener for the team as a whole, but they all know what they need to improve on to make the next upcoming season the best one yet.
